• BOSSINEY (OO)

Chris Toyer. Located on a Cornish peninsula post-Word War2, Bossiney was once a strategic look-out post and anti-aircraft gun emplacement. Now disused, but still facilitating railway storage and stabling.​

• LYNCH CUTTING (OO)

David Croft. Lynch Cutting depicts a fictitious backwater defunct diesel maintenance depot acquired by Heritage volunteers to keep alive various locomotives and road transport vehicles from the 1960s 70s and early 80s. Nothing too prototypical, but based on memories from my mind's eye of those years...

• BRUNSWICK EAST (OO)

​​​​​​​Les Pace. This layout is loosely based on part of the old, long gone, Brunswick shed complex in Liverpool, and is inspired by a small track design drawn by the late Iain Rice in his book Designs for Urban Layouts.

It is set roughly in the early 1960s, but with some builder's licence to run odd locos that would not have been seen in this part of the country.

I have decided to try to model it in the late evening or night, using a black cloth cover, and the layout lights rather than the usual external lighting. I am hoping this makes it a little different from the normal.

All the locos on the layout are DCC controlled and I also use Digitrax  layout control, and DCC Concepts digital point motors that allow the layout to be operated remotely with JMRI on a computer, and the train driver application on my phone. Thanks must go to friends for their knowledge and assistance in this matter.

 The track is Peco code 75 fine scale and the layout also has an ADM digital turntable.

Also, I am able to fill up a loco tender using powdered coal from the coaling tower.

In the future, if time allows I hope to add firebox flicker to the steam locos and some wet finishes and puddles to the layout to make it look like it has been raining and to reflect the depot lights.

• SMALLBRIDGE JUNCTION (009)

Dale Gillard. Smallbridge junction is an imaginary small junction connecting the branch line to Wood Warehouse. The station today is hosting a 'Mini Owners Club' meeting  in car park All the track and points are Peco, locos are mainly kit built, Minitrains and Bachmann.

• DAISYFIELD (OO)​

Daisyfield is a small fictional shunting and servicing area hosting a foray of modern Era 11 diesel locomotives and wagons, that I constructed following a visit to another exhibition a few years ago that re-sparked my interest in model trains.

• GIFFARD LANE (OO)

Daniel Deathe - MKMRS. Giffard Lane is a small layout of a prototypical refuelling point for diesel traction. There are two stabling points for locomotives to be stabled between duties. The two stabling points are also electrified to allow overhead traction to be stabled on them between duties too. Giffard Lane is a fictional location in the north west of England just off the West Coast Mainline. Giffard Lane is DCC controlled with almost all locos being fitted with sound to bring the layout to life. We operate the layout with a Z21 DCC system and use our mobiles as controllers via the Z21 app, also on the layout we have Mr Bean with his teddy standing by his car and if you look closely on Giffard Lane you might spot Where’s Wally hiding!

• BEAR CREEK (N)

This layout was inspired by a holiday to British Columbia in the early 2000's and an article in Model Railway Magazine entitled 'Top Shelf Feeds' by Chris Leigh. It is  a fictitious slice of western Canada in which I have attempted to capture the main elements of the area, namely mountainous scenery and fir trees! Freight movement is the focus of train operations and the simple track plan is taken from the above mentioned magazine article.
